What's new

What changed in the planner, newest first. Your version is the small v-number at the bottom of the app.

numbers change means a figure you may have seen has moved — your saved plan is not altered; set a fresh baseline if you track one. Pro marks Pro features.

Retirement date on the Dashboard

v11.97 · October 17, 2026

Income lines show this year

v11.96 · October 6, 2026

  • Clearer income streams. Each line now shows what it adds in the rest of this year, and a bonus already paid is marked as in your balances. No numbers change.

Today's or future dollars, and labelled money flow

v11.94 · October 3, 2026

  • Today's dollars, start-year dollars or fixed: every income and expense line, and Add a life event, now says how its amount behaves over time, and the Cash flows tables fit without scrolling.
  • US health costs, by name: ACA premiums and Medicare + IRMAA now show as their own lines in the year inspector and money flow. ▶ Health costs before 65
  • Money flow adds up: the spousal Social Security top-up, life-phase trims and the OAS raise at 75 no longer land in "Unallocated".
  • Retirement-day line: a small shortfall now shows in amber, matching "behind". No numbers change.

US survivor Social Security

Die with zero, and Optimize requirements

v11.87 · September 29, 2026

  • Pronumbers changeOptimize requirements: every answer — and the RSU walk-away year — now has to meet your survival odds: 50 % Monte Carlo and 80 % S&P history unless you change them.
  • ProOne Optimize run: the soonest you can retire with just enough to last, plus 💸 Spend more — how much more you could spend, starting now or at retirement. ▶ Die with zero, tested
  • Life on Cash flows: taper discretionary spending with age (tapering lines are marked), plan experiences and gifts, or add your own life event. ▶ Go-go, slow-go, no-go
  • Leave behind at least… an amount you want left at the end; the survival odds count ending below it as a miss.
  • Unspent money: when a typical run leaves years of spending unused, the Dashboard says so.

A tidier Dashboard accounts table

v11.85 · September 28, 2026

  • Debts show their type on the Dashboard (Mortgage, Line of credit…), matching the Accounts page.
  • “Room left” card removed from This year — it showed the yearly limit, not what’s actually left. No numbers change.

Life events, pensions, health costs and a light theme

  • Expense streams sort on any column.
